19th century, early 1880, letter wax seal in cast bronze, in Neoclassical Revival style. Highly collectible for its high quality of details, chased with an organic nature-inspired decor in relief with detailed scrolls, berries, and foliage. The oval shape is also less common and what makes this piece even more desirable is that the flat stamp area is virgin and unetched: no initials have been engraved, so it is ready to be personalized.
