The "Clula Collection" features objects developed with the richness of traditional ancestral craftsmanship using carnauba straw, a typical palm tree utilized by artisans from the Northeast region of Brazil. This project is a collaboration between designer rico Gondim and artisans from Itaiaba, Cear. The design aims to utilize triangular modules based on the traditional weaving geometry of carnauba straw. When combined with noble metals such as brass, the triangle randomly multiplies, resulting in the creation of various sculptural forms. These pieces can also function as functional art/design objects, such as lamps, pendants, wall panels, and numerous other possibilities. The project provides employment opportunities for the artisan community involved in the craftwork. All assembly is done manually at rico Gondim Studio.
