Each piece is handmade and characterized by an irregular surface that may have holes, gouges, or jagged edges, featuring an organic and unique appearance. PLEASE NOTE: The stone's color becomes brighter and clearer within 2-3 months due to the natural absorption process of the surface treatment, which is based on ancient techniques of the artisan tradition.
The Cochleae vases collection is inspired by snails' life cycles. The design captures their growth, with the curved glass representing the invertebrate's body and the semicircular stone components symbolizing the embracing shell.
The stone, a testament to our commitment to sustainability, is meticulously handcrafted from fragments of natural Italianrocks sourced from Tuscany and Veneto. This innovative material, inspired by ancient Roman techniques, is trulyone-of-a-kind as it does not contain glue or cement. It is dried naturally in the open air, under the sun, to ensure ever greaterenvironmental sustainability. The surface of the handcrafted stone piece is treated with an ecological substance developedby COKI. The glass and stone components are not glued and can be separate, disassembled, and ready for new uses.
